Training

Originally trained in proofreading at a large magazine and book printer and publisher.

More recently updated skills at the Publishing Training Centre, Proofreading and at SfEP one-day seminars: Brush up Your Proofreading and Proofreading Problems.

Experience
In book publishing as a proofreader and project manager; report and accounts; general literature and toxicity reports for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food; senior quality control and proofreading for the lead agency producing the largest section of the Argos catalogue and the complete Irish edition.

Work flow
Work can be processed electronically or as hard paper copy and read either 'blind' or from accompanying marked-up copy.
